I'm new in this forum and would like to ask a question. I want to buy a Rolex in near future and want to make the decision which model would be the best to choose.
First a little background. My father has bought himself in 1962 a Rolex Explorer (I) which my brother still has. Myself, after having Breitling Jaeger LeCoultre, IWC Big Pilot, I wear a Parmigiani Toric Chronograph (white gold). It is a beauty and a real dress watch. For the weekends I want to buy a Rolex and have two possible options in my mind.
1) Explorer II which will be a real sport watch
2) My dream of the past: Rolex Day-Date White Gold
I really want to buy the "perfect" Rolex for myself, as a remembrance of my father and being able to us the watch in more "rough" environments like water, beach, sport.
Maybe it is difficult to compare those two watches but after seeing them and feeling them, especially the Day-Date feels rock solid, it is difficult for me to decide. Can you help ?
