re: Seamaster problem by Ren on Mar 17,2006 08:47 PM Any automatic watch should be wound a few winds to "jumpstart" the mechanism for the day. The rotor is for supplimental power to keep it wound and running. A winder might be a solution as well as routine service to make sure the parts are lubricated properly.
