that's correct. The brand Hublot which was created in 1980 is indeed not so well known, because after having made the first "fusion" between rubber and gold in 1980 they fell asleep.
Although not so much activ as a brand,their "fusion"concept has influenced the entire watch industry and from Breguet to Swatch you have today rubber on watches.
The new Hublot management is currently on the way to give a second rebirth to the brand and especially with the new ollection named Big Bang, Hublot has already trippeled the orders at the Basel Fair compared to last year.
The Big Bang which is a revolutionnary watch, not only from the "fusion" of materials (carbon,kevlar,titanium, tatalium,18k Gold,...),but also from the construction-concept of the watch (sandwich construction system in which the watch-case is made out of 10 parts, while usually you have two or three parts.
