      Tritium is a radioactive substance which allows the glow of the numbers or hands of the watch. Watch companies have to have approval to use the substance and is actually quite dangerous to handle. I do not think it is used any more due to the danger, but is harmless within the watch case. The dust was the cause of concern in the watchmaking facilities.      Post Reply
