Gold is a little too autentatious given the times. The tides will change. Also, given the amount of people who can afford steel and the number of Rolex watchmakers buiding SS Rolexes. It makes sense that the demand is higher for the SS versions. Besides when you are getting into the 20KUS range, I might question why you would buy Rolex, over Vacheron, Brequet, Zenith, Audeumars to name a few. Just my thoughts.
