re: re: service prices for aerospace by Red on Jan 05,2004 12:18 AM Five or six years ago the authorized repair location charged me something like $85 to change the battery, rear case gasket, and most important--they've got to order a new winding knob and replace that as well. The waterseal gasket on the stem is captive in the knob and cannot be replaced except by replacing the entire knob. I can recommend Harry at "SWISS WATCH REPAIR; 60 EAST 42ND st #2328, NY, NY 10165 212-949-6522" for being truly professional and speedy. I'd expect the price has gone up at least $25 by now, but I'd never, ever, send my watch in to B-USA for anything. They have me convinced that if I shook hands with them, I'd have to count my fingers afterwards to make sure none were "mislaid" in the transaction. (Totally unimpressive folks, a real shame.)
