A good start might be to purchase at an auction which will be based on market price plus a small premium. Most watches will outlast the wearer and buying used is a great option especially for Rolex. It will alo be a good education to see where most watches trade after a few years vs. the retail prices. Since this is market pricing, the two-tone can become an option since you will not be paying a dealer premium.
