A few have mineral crystals which can be scratched but are relatively difficult. How old is your watch? You can find the date of production by finding a 4 digit number between the lugs at 6 or the 4 digit number on one of the endlinks near the case. The numbers represent the year and the week of the year the watch was made. This will make it a bit easier to tell.
