I hand carried the watch to Schaffhausen to discuss with a horologist the degree of work required and how much of the watch could be salvaged. The watch was in very poor condition externally, having been abused for almost 40 years but the complication was in good condition with only the crown being replaced. I was advised that the cyclops lens may no longer be available but I was also advised that the original pie-pan face could be refurbished (ie, polished and new luminous tritium placed in the hour marker dots). I'm very disappointed with the work because my watch is now a hybrid of original and new.
