Well, if you want exact stats, you could easily inquire with Breitling, directly. I think you're also being very narrow minded about its practical and expanded applications. "Aeronautical" use does not just mean airplanes; it includes: helicopters, balloons, hot air balloons, airship, gliders, hang-gliders, para-gliders, ultra light aircraft and skydiving.
There is also a 100,000 USD fine for the costs of a false search and rescue effort... which you must agree to when you sign the waiver at purchase. And besides... If I get seriously stranded somewhere, I wouldn't want to be caught wearing my Blancpain tourbillon or my limited edition platinum Vacheron.
Nor would I attempt a hike in a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos, darling! Even I will wear hiking boots if the terrain is appropriate... and that's why this watch should be looked at as part of one's watch wardrobe... it doesn't belong at the symphony, but it certainly has its place.
