    I do agree that watches can be a great investment, just do so with caution. This could be one of the worst investments you might make. I love Breilting, but the QP in Platinum is not the watch to park your money with. Breitling outsources their case work where there is a huge premium for small runs in platinum which is why they are so expensive to begin with. I think the retail is close to $50K which puts you in the same ballpark as a Lange Perpetual or an AP EOT which are far superior. If you like it then it is another story, but be prepared to possibly take a loss. The higher end Breilings do not hold their value. Even if you had 1/25, I would offer the same advice. Save your money, buy an Olympus or old 1492 which will give you a 4 year calendar and looks almost the same. Look to pay between $3-5K and have leftover for something really nice.      Post Reply
